WHAT IS CSS AND ALL INFORMATION RELATED TO CSS:

The central superior services which is properly known as CSS ( or bureaucracy) is a permanent elite bureaucratic authority that is responsible for the administration of vacant seats in 12 different civil services of Pakistan.

CSS exam is conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission(FPSC). FPSC conducts CSS exam for the recruitment of candidates to gazetted posts (BPS-17). The test is conducted every year more probably in February in different cities of Pakistan.

INTRODUCTION TO CSS:

In 1858, the British government take over control of the Sub-continent. The Sub-continent remain under the tyranny of Great Brittan for 90 years.

At that time, for the formation of policies and rules to run the country, they make civil services which were known as Imperial Civil Services. Initially, the locals were not allowed for beurocretic posts and only the British opted for the gazette posts. With the passage of time, locals were also allowed to compete in the Civil Services exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRIETERIA:

For appearing in the CSS exam, the aspirant must have to fulfill the following aspects:

• NATIONALITY:

The applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan or a permanent resident of Azad Jammu& Kashmir.

• EDUCATION:

The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least second division from any one of the universities of Pakistan recognized by HEC.

If the applicant has a Bachelor’s degree with 3rd division, then He/She should have a master’s degree with an improved division.    

• AGE LIMIT:

The applicant must be of age between 21 to 30. Two year age relaxation is for special areas as well as for special cases.
